Turning 18

Just over a week ago I turned 18. I spent the day with my family eating, visiting and being a little emotional. I'd spent the Friday night with my closest friends at lazer quest, and then pigging out and drinking a little too much, which was fab!

I treated my self to a new camera so took a few shots on my birthday and I just wanted to share them with you(I'm still trying to work out how to use its settings and things).

Please excuse the cards...but that is my friends for you :-)
So's here to being another year older!

Birthday Celebrations 3

So a few months back, when I'd first started blogging really, I did a little 'Get ready with me' sort of post for a friends birthday(which is here; Birthday Celebrations 2). Since I enjoyed doing that one I thought I'd do another one, and after a close friends recent 18th birthday party I thought this would be the perfect event to blog about! So here goes!

The top picture is basically everything I used for the party! I wear very little make up really and don't tend to venture into the world of eye shadow unless its a special occasion. As it goes this was a pretty special occasion so I thought hey why not?! I didn't fancy using liquid foundation, as I often don't, I chose to where my recent re-discovered favourite Rimmel London, Stay Matte pressed powder, in 003 Peach Glow. I find it just gives the skin a natural look which I always find I prefer.

I used the H&M Kabuki brush, which is defiantly worth the £4.99 I payed for it! I also recently purchased the MUA Pro-base fixing mist, which is actually really good! and at £5, you can't really go wrong!

I used my favourite mascara as usual! I'm not keen on eye lash curlers but I find this mascara does the job pretty well without using them! I can't keep up with how much I've raved about the Maybelline New York mascaras! I love them!

Finally, I used this gold-ish type colour for my eyes. I'm not ever sure about eye shadow or how to wear them, like should I be mixing or wearing just the one colour or what?! But hey I though this colour was quite nice and matched the colour of my outfit quite well. I have no idea what shade this is, all I know is its off a little pallet from Boots sometime last year! I did forget to take pictures of the lipstick I wore, but as usual I wore my collection 2000 favourite!

So yeah this is basically how I ended up looking. As normal, because I'm awful at hair styling, I straightened my hair but ended up just pushing my fringe back every few minutes.

I wore a gold sequined tshirt from New look, which I bought last year but have only worn once before! Its got a sort of see through chiffon type back to. I wore it tucked into a long black skirt which is defiantly my best purchase for a long time; only costing me £5! Yay! I then just put my old favourite heels on, which I bought from Peacocks, when that was still a shop haha!

Thanks for reading, I enjoy these types of posts! Hope you enjoyed! Heres a few pictures from the night;

A little ramble...

For the second time in just over 2 weeks I'm ill. With going back to college and returning to a lack of sleep(both due to college and my recently unusually busy social life) my bodies clearly been run down. Don't get me wrong these past few weeks have been so much fun with a trip to London, McFly concert, partying and 18th birthdays! But I just wish it wasn't so easy for me to get ill when I've got so much to do!

I'll be honest, I'm writing this post instead of uploading pictures for my week in pictures post, which is lazy of me, especially considering I've got some good pictures this week! I just lack motivation to do certain things when I'm ill, and staring at a computer screen editing pictures and putting them together is not something I feel like doing today. I'd rather just type a load of random things for a change.

I'm currently snowed under with work and stressed to the max with being ill, stuff going on and University applications. Being ill isn't really helping with my stress levels. Oh and the nerves for my driving test have already kicked in, which is brilliant considering I've got just under a month to go, grrrr.

But HEY, I'm nearly 18; in exactly 3 weeks to be precise! Which I'm quite looking forward to! I've also got quite a few ideas for my blog aswell, which is unusual for me, but exciting all the same!So we'll see how they pan out!

I need to sleep, sorry about my rambling and I'm sorry if you actually read all of this...Thank you though!(its still weird to me to think people do read the things I post!)

My week #3

This weeks little week update is pretty short and all the pictures are from the same night; oops! I've had a super busy week and I've been ill for the most of it so I didn't really take many pictures!

The pictures which I did take this week were all at a close friends 18th birthday celebrations! The top right picture is with the birthday girl and it was a fab evening with some of my close friends and new friends; even if a little bit too much was drank! The two pictures on the right are my two favourite pictures from the night and the left is the little outfit which I threw together pretty much an hour before the party, haha I always leave things till last minute!

I hope everyone had a good week! Thanks for reading!

Birthday Celebrations 2

Hii, I thought I'd try something a bit different and do a sort of  'get ready with me' post. I wasn't particularly dressed up for the occasion but I thought hey, you've got to start somewhere!

It was one of my closest friends birthday and our group of friends were celebrating with a meal and a few drinks at her house. It wasn't particularly dressy but it was a heels occasion, and they're always the best!

I don't get ready all in one go, so it was spread through out the day. But I started with a bath, which included Lush Fun bubble bar type thing and Lush Snow fairy. I used John Frieda's Luxurious Volume shampoo and conditioner on my hair.

Once I'd gotten out of the bath and then my shower(I'm very good at conserving water) I towel dried my hair and used John Frieda's Luxurious Volume mouse.

I was also blessed with very sensitive skin so I have to be extra careful with anything I use on my skin. My newest favorite  moisturizer is currently Soap and Glory and luckily I can use it without my face blowing up to look like a tomato.  It smells soooo nice and is really moisturizing but I do find it a bit greasy.

To dry my hair I use a Tresemme hair dryer and to style I use GHD straighteners. I don't tend to use heat protection spray because I don't like how it makes my hair feel and how it burns on the straightening plates. I know I should but I haven't found a decent one to use. I straightened my hair, which is how I normally wear it, with my sweeping fringe across the right to the left.

For my eyes I use Maybelline New York, The colossal Volum' Express mascara, its my regular favourite and reasonably priced to! I love the volume it gives and the fullness it gives my lashes. The brush is brilliant to use to!

Obviously I'm forcing my eyes open to be that wide, but I quite like how the
mascara makes my eyes look
I don't often wear face make up other than on my eyes, but seeing as it was a bit of a special occasion I used blusher and eye shadow, which was a massive change for me!

I got this Technic blusher in a set with different colours and eye shadows. I don't know its name or anything but I like the way it sits on the skin and how it looks natural yet still enhances. I cant often tell the difference when I wear make up, but I wore it on my cheek bones and just slightly next to my eyes slightly lighter than on my cheeks.  I then put a silvery and grey coloured eye shadow on to just add a bit of colour and dimension.

Oh yeah, well done Hannah, Very in focus
As I said before I don't get ready in one go so I then went back to my hair. I made sure it was straight and added hair spray. I then thought I'd clip the fronts back with little bobby pins.  I then got dressed and ready;
Sorry for the dirty mirror
I wore a cream/slightly off white t shirt from River Island, which is open on the back apart from little bows, which £15 in the sale. I wore it with dark blue jeans, from F&F at Tesco(comfy and reasonable), along with nude and black heels from New Look, £11 in the sale! I'm a massive sucker for a nice pair of heels! My little clutch bag was given to me as a present for my 17th birthday by a close friend and I LOVE it!

Sorry for such a word heavy post but I wanted to blog about my little routine! I might do some more of these; I'm quite enjoying writing and posting lifestyle and beauty posts.

The birthday girl and myself, clearly enjoying a good night
Hope everyone had a lovely June and has a lovely July!

June 28th

I spent the evening celebrating Amy's birthday again with a lovely Italian meal and a few drinks with all the girls! We surprised Amy with a decorated table with confetti, balloons and then a photo cake of some highly embarrassing pictures of her on it. Was hilarious seeing her face as it arrived! I had such a lovely evening with everyone!

June 26th

I got to wear these lovelies this evening for a friends birthday meal! I had a lovely evening and properly fell in love with these shoes; I'm a sucker for a good pair of heels (especially when they're only a fiver!!) I thought they deserved to be today's picture!

June 25th

Bit artistic today I must say. But today was Amy's birthday, one of my closest friends! Morning, break, frees and lunch were all spent laughing and smiling with the birthday girl! Our little friendships group has a major fascination with wrapping all presents with ribbon and pretty bows; and Amy got a real collection today! So happy birthday Amy; hope you had an amazing day!

Birthday Celebrations

So it was one of my closets friends Birthday a couple of weeks ago and we celebrated with a meal at a lovely Italian in Blackpool and then drinks and drunken antics at a friends house.

My celebration outfit;
Dress; H&m £19.99
I then wore it with Black Wedges from New look
and a silver heart bracelet.

My Girls all looked amazing, and we had such a good night!

After the meal we then returned home for drinks and a game of ring of fire; by far one of the funniest drinking games ever!

I then embarrassingly enough ended the night, on the bathroom floor; which is where I slept; but I wont include those embarrassing pictures. But all in all a good night was had by all!

I just wanted to post about the evening as not only a memory for me but as an insight into my life.

June 20th

Today was my dads birthday so it was birthday celebrations all evening with takeaway and the best cake in the world and some crappy tv! All in all a good night. My mum bought me this new picture for my wall today and I just felt it summed my evening up; spending time with two of my favourite people, who I love immensely.
