Holiday snaps

Now I've been very stupid these past few weeks. I scheduled some posts and then proceeded to forget to check on my blog, until now and have noticed that NONE of them have posted, sigh. But now I've got a back log of posts just ready to go, wahoo for accidentally being prepared! Anyway, here you are :-)

I recently went on a bit of a holiday with my mum to visit a close family friend and her husband at their apartment in Spain. I took a few snaps, only a few though, I was too busy enjoying the company, weather, food and drink to really take as many photos as I had hoped! But I thought I'd share a few of the ones I did take, Enjoy :-)

Early morning swim? I think so

Evening beach walks

The old square, social hub of the town

Kinder Bueno Ice cream, the best thing ever to be invented
One day I'll own a boat here
Sucker for a palm tree

Local symbols

How pretty
Evening beach walks became my favourite thing to do

Such a lovely Spanish area
Safe to say I got to stay in a very beautiful, Spanish town. I've stayed here before but never quite understood how lovely it is. I honestly hope in the future I get to travel and explore more of Spain because its history is so fascinating and the Spanish way of life is just brilliant; afternoon naps and heaps of family time, yes please!!

Current favourites

It's been ages and ages since I did my last favourites post so here we are with a new set of favourites! I surprise myself with these posts because I'm not normally one of those people who changes products or gets attached to new things regularly but it seems I do..hm who knew it, maybe I'm not sure of a creature of habit.

First is the beauty type products which I've been loving! If you've seen my recent make-up haul post (its here if you haven't read it!) I spoke about the Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer, since then I have fallen in love with it, bit weird I know. But in the past few weeks I've been wearing just powder during the day instead of a liquid just because I've been super busy and I often found I was reapplying through the day and getting shiny, but I've found using this as a base for makeup has really helped and I'm finding I don't have to reapply powder and if I do its normally mid afternoon. Highly recommend it!

At christmas I got a tonne of beauty products and things and I'm still slowly working my way through them and finding new things I like. Recently I've been loving No7's Beautiful Skin, Cleansing lotion. I have pretty sensitive skin and find a lot of products I can't use but this is hypo-allergenic and very gentle on the skin. I'm also prone to breakouts and this hasn't brought any on which is even better! I tend to use the lotion at night to remove make-up and it works so well! It's gentle on skin and can remove all my make-up pretty much instantly with a wipe of cotton wool after applying it, and you only need a little bit to so my guess is it'll probably last me a while! I know you can get it at boots, usually on 3 for 2 or some other fabulous promotion.

Finallllly make-up wise is the Maybelline New York, Master Precise liquid eyeliner. I never wear eyeliner, only ever to fill in gaps when I'm wearing eyelashes, but I bought this in the hope I could teach myself to apply it properly and try something new with my make-up. So far, so good! It's easy to use, really soft, almost like a fine liner and sits in place really well. It was around £6 or £7 if I remember correctly so I'm pretty happy about this little purchase. (If anyone has tips on applying eyeliner easily let me know!)

My next favourite is my favourite purchase I've made in a couple of months! This lovely statement, yet subtle necklace. I bought this from New Look, and was only £5.99. It's great for wearing with a cami for a dressy occasion or a casual occasion. I really really like it! It's also not heavy or noisy to wear...if that makes sense.

Finallly, slightly random but still one of my favourite things at the minute! My diary. With a busy few months coming up with exams and birthdays and trips and work and god know what else this has been my best friend recently. I know its late in the year to be raving about a diary but honestly I recommend buying one if you're as disorganised as I can be sometimes. It just lets me know/plan where I should be and what I should be doing, even with my revision. It also lets me plan college work, trips and life in general which is brilliant for me. I'm just really enjoying being organised. (It also means I can collect my lego stickers somewhere from when I babysit, which is the best part of course...)

Thanks for reading, I love doing posts like this:-)!

FOTD

I've never done one of these before, but wanted to try it out. Woo yay for trying new things.

Basically though this is a pretty boring post idea for me because I ware quite minimal make-up. Especially today...

Concealer- Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Medium (or cool medium in the newer range)
Powder- Clinique Stay-matte pressed powder in Invisible Matte
Blusher- Very little, but I use Technic blusher and I don't know where you can buy that...oops(Side note, I'm looking for a new blusher so will happily take any recommendations!!)
Mascara- No7 Lash Adapt
Eyeshadow- Benefit Creaseless cream shadow in R.S.V.P. (and I just found out you can buy this colour on its own, I thought it was only in the neutrals pallet, oh so happy!)
I'm currently using brushes from H&M aswell!
That's it!
:-)

P.S. I need some help; I'm looking for an everyday lipstick/gloss and a really good liquid eyeliner, so if anyone's got any recommendations let me know in the comments/twitter(which is below!) Thank you lovelies!

Make-up Haul

Over the past few weeks I've been purchasing some new make-up and I wanted to share them, maybe even share a few reviews.

Most of these are quite neutral colours which is always handy to have, especially when you're a minimal sort of make up gal like myself.

This is especially true for me when I'm choosing eye shadows!

Both shades can be found here; 24hr Color Tattoo
Both shades can be found here; Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint

I purchased the first two which are the Maybelline New York, 24hr Color Tattoo, gel-cream eye shadows in 40-Permanent Taupe and 35-On and on Bronze. I absolutely love creamy textured eye shadows compared to the traditional powdered ones, so these are perfect for me! However, the Permanent Taupe one is a nice colour but I found it didn't match how it looked in the pot and was quite dark when on;  But I still quite like it! It doesn't crease and even after a day of college and running about doing errands still looks fresh and well placed, so I highly recommend these!
The On and on Bronze colour I picked up last week as part of three for two make-up at Tesco (The best and worst thing that could ever happen! Good for grabbing some lovely new products but also bad for the dent left in my bank account!) and I'm yet to try it. However, a close friend of mine wears this one quite often and it lasts all day and is a lovely neutral colour, which can be worn with everything
. In all honesty I wanted to try this one as an attempt to find a cheaper version of Benefits R.S.V.P.  (which I spoke about here; current-favorites), but its not even similar in colour but should make for a good neutral replacement none the less!

The second two eye shadows, which I am LOVING are Clinique's Chubby stick, shadow tint in 01-Bountiful Beige and 07-Pink & Plenty. These were a gift from my mum when she came home from holiday, in Lanzarote the lucky devil! I absolutely love the colours, they're quite natural so can be worn with pretty much everything and Pink & Plenty is really summery as well! They're so easy to apply; almost like a lipstick for your eyes, which makes them easy to apply without mistakes, which for someone as clumsy as me is brilliant!
So for the price I recommend these and I can't wait to purchase some more colours in the future.

Now,  I've never been sure about lipstick and what colours suite me best so I've always stuck to pinks and my two newest additions to my make-up bag are no exception. However, these two are slightly more vibrant than I've ever bought before.

Left 6-Sugar Pink
Right 8-Sweet Tart

Top is 8-Sweet Tart, bottom is 6-Sugar Pink

I bought Collection 2000's Volume sensation in 6-Sugar Pink and Collection 2000's Lasting colour 8-Sweet Tart. These were relatively cheap, and at superdrug were buy one get one half price when I purchased these two(which helped A LOT because I couldn't decide which colour I liked more, so bought them both, hey why not!). But they're really vibrant and are long lasting, even more so if you use a primer before hand. But I quite like these, they're not really everyday colours but are super for nights out and occasions.

I have always used Clinique's even better skin if I was wearing liquid foundation, and I've never really tried or bought anything else. On a day to day basis I prefer to wear just powder and concealer.

Left Rimmel London BB Cream Matte
Middle Stay Matte Primer
Right Pro Base Fixing Mist

However after trying the Rimmel London BB Cream, Beauty Balm, Matte I had to purchase it(I had a little sample of it, which I tried and was quite impressed with, plus I wasn't allergic to it!) Then when I went to buy it at Tesco they had a three for two offer on(as previously mentioned) which made the purchase even better! I bought the BB cream itself, in light and the Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer. The primer has the texture a lot like a moisturiser but sinks into the skin really quickly. The bottle says it can be used alone, under make-up or over make-up which means it's pretty versatile. It does work quite well under make-up as a base for the BB cream and does keep the skin looking fresh for the best part of the day!
The BB cream is a good colour, easy to blend and does match my skin pretty well, however if it's not rubbed in properly it can look slightly orange. It sits well on the skin though and does last a reasonable part of the day. So I'm pretty happy with this purchase and have worn it everyday since purchasing it last week!

Left Stay Matte Primer
Right Rimmel London BB Cream Matte

The last thing I wanted to share was the MUA Pro-base fixing mist, which I've pretty much spoke in every post I've ever written about make-up, ooops. But this was a re-buy of a product I really like! You just spray it over your make-up to set it for the day. As far as I'm aware it works pretty well for me, put that could just be my mind playing tricks, but hey I think it works pretty well!

So there you are; thanks for reading and hope this was helpful/interesting :-)

P.S. I need some help; I'm looking for an everyday lipstick/gloss and a really good liquid eyeliner, so if anyone's got any recommendations let me know in the comments/twitter(which is below!) Thank you lovelies!

Weight Loss Wednesday

Well well well...two missed weeks. Ever so sorry but if anyone's read the post I put up yesterday they'll know I've been super super busy! BUT in the past few weeks of not posting a WLW post I have actually been living realllllly healthy. So healthy infact I managed to loose 2 pounds in the time I've been away!

I thought I'd share a few meal ideas I've been eating over the past few weeks; I'm trying to eat a low carbohydrate and high protein diet;

Classic pasta salad, brown pasta of course

Fry up only nothing was fried(except the mushrooms)

Chinese stir fry with soy sauce and garlic sauce, egg noodles and home made burgers

My new favourite breakfast/pudding
natural low fat yogurt and a hand full of tropical mix(dried bananas, coconut, raisins, papaya.)

Hope this maybe gives some food inspiration for any who need it!

P.s. How motivational is my work out shirt??

Happy 100th and a little update!

Wooo, so this is my 100th post onto my little blog, aw! (and it's nearly its 1st birthday too!)

And in true Just a little blog fashion its a little apology/update post!

So apologies first for not blogging for a while, but life is super super busy to get chance to sit and upload pictures and write an actual post. But I have been taking pictures for posts in the past few weeks so I've got several posts ready and waiting! Its half term so I have a little bit of time to sit and write some posts around the ten tonnes of revision I've got to do, damn exams.

But in all seriousness I do actually miss writing posts when I can't get chance to sit and write. Anywaaaay

Little update time. College is getting tough but there's less than 10 weeks until all the exams will be over, yay and I'll be done with college forever. Then its uni in September,  but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. So for the next few weeks posts will either be scheduled or few and far between, which sucks but I need to concentrate on these exams. I'm going to try my very best!
My baby cousin turns 16 tomorrow...which is so so scary. As much as I love seeing how shes growing up I just wish time would slow down a bit. Having said that I am only two years older than her....but its still scary.

I'm also at 10 weeks and 5 days until I jet off to find some glorious sun and temperatures.

I've also been taking pictures over the past few weeks and just wanted to share a few with you; just sums my few weeks up really;

There's been a lot of friend time, healthy eating, mothers day celebrations and in what little spare time I've had mini pamper evenings with lush and mini eggs of course!

Hope everyone's well, thanks for reading :-)

An outfit I'm loving

I just thought I'd share my current favourite outfit with you all!
Basically its a cute little chiffon type material floral dress which is elasticated around the waist with an over sized baby pink cardigan.
Both are from primark, the dress was £10 and the cardigan was £13 I think. Either way I love them and they suite being put together in one outfit.

I'm still wearing dresses with wooly tights because I'm not brave enough to leave the house with thinner ones on yet. Wimp I know.

The sleeves are short aswell, which means I'll be able to wear this into the summer months aswell!

A full length look at the outfit! No shoes you might notice though. I just wear plain black ballet pumps or little brown studded ballet pumps from New look.

My make-up was pretty minimal; N07 mascara, collection concealer, Clinique Matte invisible powder and mememe shimmer stack blusher. (Twp of these I spoke about in my last favourites post current favourites post and powder I last spoke about here; travel make-up bag I'm yet to speak about the blush, that'll be soon I'm sure! Look at me linking everything.)

Hope everyone's okay!
:-)

Spring has sprung

Happy Sunday to you all!
This week we've had some decent weather in Blackpool so I've been on a few walks and taken my camera with me and snapped a few shots. It amazes me that there are places which look so pretty literally at the bottom of my street, it makes me excited for the summer and spending more time outside!

I just wanted to share a few of the pictures I have taken, on here.

My week(s) in pictures

This post has got nearly 3 weeks of pictures in...well done for regularly blogging Hannah.

Anyways I have had a super busy but super exciting few weeks!
Me being me didn't put the pictures in any sort of order, round of applause for me.

The two pictures of my dog- I've spent a lot of time at home in my spare time these past few weeks and alot of that time has been spent with my dog. The two pictures are just two of many I've taken these past few weeks but these two just make me laugh.
The two artsy nature pictures- Look at that photography work. This week the weathers been quite nice so I've gone on a few walks with my dad and the dog. Whilst out on these walks I've snapped these two pictures which I'm quite happy with(I'm going to blog a few more of the pictures I've taken soon in a post!)
The random picture of 3 letters on a page- Just after Christmas we had mock exam week at college and these were my results, they were a huge huge surprise when I got the piece of paper because I thought my exams had gone rubbish, so now its time to knuckle down and get tonnes of revision done ready for the summer exams, eeek!
The purple-y picture of a man- This is one of very few decent pictures I took at the Rizzle Kicks concert I went to a few weeks ago! Me and two friends spent the day queuing in the freezing cold but it was all worth it as we were front row and had an amazing time! If anyone gets a chance to see Rizzle Kicks you defiantly must go!

Jillian Michaels fitness DVD- If anyone has read my most recent Weight Loss Wednesday post(which is here btw... WLW post) they'll know that I'm currently loving these two DVD's and have spent the past three weeks doing the exercises on and off in an attempt to live healthier! I defiantly recommend these two if anyone who is looking for exercise DVD's!

So there we go, a mini round up of my life these past few weeks!

My week in pictures

Well this is another one of my started but never finished projects. I started off so well posting each week about what I'd been up to during the week through pictures. But I've not done this post in a long long time. So I'm going to re-start this back up, so then my blog isn't neglected quite as much! Plus I quite enjoyed the challenge of remembering to take pictures during the week, even of the most mundane of things.
(Most of the pictures I'll be posting I'll probably have posted on my Instagram as well, which is here; hannnx oooo shameless)

This week was half term so I spent a lot of time relaxing, at home and with friends.

The first picture is my dog dressed in a scarf, because I'm one of those people who finds things like that really funny...
Second is a picture of one of my favourite films which I finally purchased on DVD and then found time to watch... I really recommend 500 days of summer, even though its not everyone's cup of tea. But I like it, its a bit more of a realistic love story than all the other cliche movies.
Third is a picture from a night out on Friday. It was a fab fab fab night, although slightly too much was drank...but when you only go out around once a month, like me, I'm sure it can be excused, right?
The fourth picture is of a little note, which one of my closest and cutest friends attached to a little valentines present; Love hearts and a love hearts candle(which smells delicious!). The presents were just a bit of fun because neither of us had a valentine.  My friends are so cute.
And the final, very vain picture, was taken on the night of one of my friends dance show which all our little friendship group went to watch and support her in. The picture was originally to show the make up and outfit I was wearing, but didn't really show either very well; now its a multi-use picture I suppose.

Well, that was my week! Hope everyone had a good week, I'll probably move my week in pictures day back to a Sunday from next week. I didn't want to post this yesterday seen as I'd already blogged yesterday, look at me on a roll!

London haul

I hope the new year is treating everyone well, I know we're only a few days in but its still good to be treated well from the get go of the year! If any of you read my last post which consisted of about 100 pictures which I took you'll know I took a little weekend break to London with my Mum just after Christmas. I did a lot of shopping and wanted to share the goodies which I purchased! I've never done a haul post before so I thought, why not start new things with it being the new year and all?!

I'm pretty excited about all of my purchases! But most of all this beautiful bag from Accessorise, which I've wanted for ages but never had chance to get! Its sort of a satchel I suppose which has an across the body and over the shoulder type straps. Its got handy pockets inside as well, plus having £10 off the price was also a winning feature for me! It cost me £27 in the sale and I am very very happy with it. No doubt I'll be writing some more about this bag in the future, and maybe even a little 'whats in my bag' post, I mean if a girls got a nice bag she has to blog about it right?! I do however feel  that the picture doesn't do it much justice...sorry!

I am also extremely happy with my new purse. My cousin got the same one as a Christmas present and I instantly fell in love with it when I saw it; Okay I suppose I was mildly jealous as well. When I went into River Island on Oxford street and saw it was in the sale, I HAD to buy it. I was buying it however much it was, so finding it was only £10 I was incredibly happy! I love it and there's something incredibly exciting about getting a new purse. This is the detailing on the purse; so sparkly and pretty!

Whilst in River Island I also picked up this very pretty snood. Its got a lovely pinkish colour and design which is pretty versatile. It was only £5 and I thought, I'm sure I'll be able to wear it during the winter and through into spring as its not too heavy or smothering, obviously the two main things you don't want a scarf to be, no? So again, a very good purchase I think.

My New Years Eve plans involved a fancy dress party at one of my closest friends house with all the girls! The fancy dress theme was countries, so we had to dress up as something from a country. I chose Greece and went for a Greek goddess costume(I'll post about it in a few days!) My costume involved a cream toga with golden accessories. I needed some gold shoes and when I saw these beauties I knew I had to have them! They were originally £32 but I managed to get them for £17 from Dorothy Perkins which I was(and still am) very happy about!

'But that's an expensive pair of shoes for a fancy dress costume hannah', of course I will wear them with other things in the future that aren't my costume. They're a lovely gold sparkly colour so I am more than sure I will be able to match an outfit to them!

I am also hugely excited about my clothing purchases!
First of all I purchased this silk thin strapped vest top from Dorothy Perkins which I got for £8, bargainnn. I then purchased this black pencil skirt from Urban Outifitters for £15, which I then got student discount on as well; the only place I know of who does student discount on sale items, which meant I only payed £13.50, bargainnn number 2.  I am however unsure as to whether the zip is supposed to be at the front or back...any one know?

Forever 21 is one of those shops which I always forget about but always find something I love when I do remember it exists as a shop! I haven't shopped at forever 21 for ageeees so I was very excited to go in! I, of course, chose about 5 different dresses but none of them seemed to fit, and they didn't have the different sizes(booo, but YAY for online shopping), which is just my luck. None of them were in the sale either, which is just typical. But I fell in love with this flowery skater dress with 3/4 sleeves. It's so cute and I think will be wonderful during winter with woolly tights and brown boots and then with sandals in the summer! Its got a crochet type open back which is so cute and I just love it! I don't doubt I'll be blogging about this dress a bit more in the future, probably in an ootd or favourites post, wahoo. This little gem only cost me £12.75 or something as well, so I'm very very very pleased with this one!

One of my all time favourite shops is Lush. They also have my favourite ever smell, Snow Fairy. I picked up my favourite snow fairy bubble wand and the snow fairy sparkle massage bar, which apparently makes you sparkle(??) if you crush it and use it like soap...we'll see. It smells devine anyway so I'm not going to complain.

Last but not least my two dvd purchases(you can't go shopping during the sales and not buy dvds right?). I picked up The moaning of life for £6.99 and am excited to sit and watch that; Carl Pilkington is one of the funniest people on TV. If any of you have read my blog before you'll known I'm a massive McFly fan, so of course I am the proud owner of their new live at the Royal Albert Hall dvd, which is extra special for me; as I was there, at the concert the night it was filmed! EEE, my inner fangirl is dying to watch it and sing along to every word(and with the live cds included I can even sing in the car, win win situation I think!)

So there you go! I feel my shopping in London was an absolute success and I'm very happy with all my purchases! Thanks for reading...if you did :-)
